The Patriots Flag Project An on going project where volunteers put out American Flags leading from Camp Lejeune to Four Corners (approximately 3 miles along Hwy 172).  Flags are put out before Memorial Day, Independence Day & Veteran’s Day.  For more information, contact Tim Supple by following his Facebook page – Sneads Ferry Village News.

Sneads Ferry Shrimp Festival There’s a lot of work that goes into planning the festival not to mention the actual “bringing it to life.” Volunteers are needed and appreciated.  For more information, visit http://sneadsferryshrimpfestival.org/

CHEW Program – Dixon Schools The CHEW program provide meals to children living with food insecurity.  Each Friday, a backpack is packed and sent home with the child.  Food must be non-perishable.  Donations of food are always appreciated.  Suggested items: cans of soup, spaghetti/ravioli, tuna, peanut butter, instant oatmeal, instant grits, pop-tarts/cereal bars, crackers, canned fruit, canned vegetables, mac & cheese, complete meal boxes, beef stew, etc.  Monetary donations are also appreciated.  For more information, call any of the local schools.
